SUMMARY: |

|
Provided resource management program support to the Department
of State (DoS). The DoS resource management program support
included providing risk assessments based on NIST 800-30
to the Information Resource Management Division. Provided
information technology and services to the Department
in order to successfully carry out its foreign policy
mission. |
|
| Responsible
for conducting risk assessments on consular operations,
including visa services for foreign nationals, managing
embassies and other real property and providing risk management
to at least 24 other federal agencies who have offices
overseas. To meet those responsibilities, accurate assessments
were done as well as in depth analysis and interpretation
of political, economic, and societal events taking place
all over the world, and assessing the potential effects
of those events on the U.S. Complicating completion of
those responsibilities was the current operating environment. |

| Risk
Assessments were done on twenty-one bureaus, 260 foreign
posts and other offices that support State's worldwide
program and administrative responsibilities. |
|
| Evaluated
the infrastructure necessary for the bureaus and offices
to achieve their individual Information Resource Management
goals. |
